Subj: Update fro Haiti.
We slept in the truck . . .last night. The
street was lined with 100's of people. They sang,
prayers, wailed...They calmed down by about midnight.
Then there was a big aftershock and they continued about
every hour so they never really settled down again.
Mostly during the night it was songs of thanks to
God for saving them and cries for continued protection
and cries of mourning.
This has been the longest 24 hours we have ever spent. It seems like
the day should be over and it's just 2:30.
We have to turn off the generator. We'll keep in touch.
Please pray as we try to decide whether to go home with only part of
what we need or to try to stay and get more or what.
Pray for the hundreds of thousands of hurting people around us.
It's overwhelming.
Love,
Steve & Faith |
