In its third year, the OMOS Haiti Project has continued the funding of the Teacher-to-Teacher Program, the Nutrition Project, and support of the Sisters and Pastor of Bombardopolis.

New and ongoing projects supported in 2004-2005:

          In Bombardopolis:

• The women's arts and crafts program to develop sewing and embroidery skills was expanded from the convent balcony to its own classroom building and another instructor has been hired.
• A small diesel-powered generator & a solar-panel with batteries and inverter were purchased to provide electricity for the church and the school -- funded by the University High class of John McGuire
• To make a small "post" chapel and school useable in Mari Rouge (near Bombardopolis), the roof, the floors, and the walls were repaired.
• The Medical Mission Team from Our Mother of Sorrows Parish provided medical services in the Bombardopolis community for two weeks
• The renovation of St. François Church was completed!
• A new cistern was completed on St. François Church funded by the students of  OMOS School & the Religious Education Program through the "Change Haiti" project
• The  school gardening program in which students grew vegetables to augment the school Nutrition Project was continued
• A  school supply delivery, to enhance the classroom activities associated with the Teacher-to-Teacher Program was continued
• Additional catechesis sessions were continued, including some sessions by Bishop Paulo.

 In Ti Rivye (funded by the Victory Noll Sisters and Most Holy Trinity Parish, Tucson)

• Continuation of the Bio-Intensive Gardening (BIG) Program with students and parents
• The purchase of more barrels for water collection
• Continuation of the Women's Skill Development Program (cooking and sewing)
• Additional catechesis sessions
• Establishment of an animal husbandry program and a soil conservation program
• Assistance to the Health-care / Midwife Programs

Expansion of the Women's Arts & Crafts Program   The new building for         the women's sewing class ==> A new instructor has been added to the program:
