*Notes from March 2008* March 28, 2008 Just returned from about 10 days in Bombard and TiRivye for Holy Week and Easter. I am sending photos today from the Brothers. The good news from the convent is that this week they have installed a generator, batteries, and an inverter. So now we have weak lights at night. The bad news is that they somehow disconnected the email dish (which usually only worked about an hour in the morning--on the sunny days; and not at all on the windy or rainy days). One step forward, one step back.

The big news at the convent was the end of piglet. The sisters were rather happy to not have to buy feed. 1. Piglet before. 2. Piglet after. 3. Piglet after. 4. Sr. Elysee preparing pork for supper. The sisters helped in most of the butchering and all of the preserving and preparing of the pork. Ask Sr. Jeanette if she learned this in days in the novitiate!
