signature, book has an inscription on the limitation page: "To
----- immobilized in San Diego." Willeford opened the book wide
to write this and partially separated the limitation page from
the purple front end page, there are also two small spots of
purple from the end page stuck on the limitation page. The pages
are also slightly yellowed. This nonfiction title is a revised
version of Willeford's MS Thesis "The Immobilzed Man: A New Hero
in Modern Fiction," the University of Miami, 1964. One of the
few nonfiction titles that McMillan has published over the
years.
