Sorry, Wrong
Number
 |
Random House 1948 |
Subtitled: A novelization by Allan Ullman from the screen play
by Lucille Fletcher. Very Good plus book with light edge wear
corners and spine ends and a light bump at top front corner, in
a Good jacket with rubbing and moderate edge wear with a number
chips and losses especially at the spine and corners, all text
intact except a bit of “Ullman” gone at top of spine. The screen
play led to the classic noir movie of the same name, starring
Barbara Stanwyck and Burt Lancaster. Stanwyck received the 1949
Oscar nomination for Best Actress but did not win. This book –
which was probably released about the time of the movie’s
release - is quite rare, especially in a jacket of any
condition.

Fatal Impressions
 |
Arbor House 1989 |
Fine minus book with just a touch of wear bottoms of boards, in
a Near Fine jacket that has light rubbing on back panel, with
some yellowing along top edges of the white portions of jacket.
An unread copy that has been signed on the half title page and
dated 4/22/89 and inscribed - To Russ, I hope your impressions
are good ones - and thanks for your interest. This is Warga’s
second mystery featuring Jeffrey Dean, owner of a rare books
store. Warga wrote three books in this series before his
untimely death in 1994. The first book of the series was a
bibliomystery, and this title moves into the international art
world.
