A book for juvenile readers; Very Good to Near Fine book with slight slant at top of spine, very slight edge and corner wear and soft at spine ends, in a Good jacket with edge and corner wear with some loss of color and material at spine ends, corners and along folds, sun fade on spine and mild soiling, especially on the white back panel. A quite nice copy, since few of Hinkle’s books survive in collectible condition. He wrote for juvenile readers during the 30’s, 40’s and 50’s with his stories about dogs and horses mostly set in the Old West. Most copies available of his books are either ex-lib or Grossett & Dunlap reprints. This copy appears to be unread.
